YBRS. Dr. Ridzuan Kushairi Bin Mohd Ramli

Dr. Ridzuan Kushairi obtained his Doctor of Philosophy from University of Bath, United Kingdom in 2015.

He is a public sector professional with extracurricular interests in academia and sports. He started his career in the private sector where he worked in various listed companies such as IDS Logistics Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of the Li & Fung Ltd), Shell Shared Services (a part of Shell Malaysia Trading) and Eden Enterprises Ltd. He then found his calling in the public sector where he has served the government over 18 years. He is currently attached with the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia as a Principal Assistant Director at the Equity Development Division.

Prof. Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi bin Zamli

Prof. Ts. Dr. Kamal Zuhairi Zamli obtained his BSc from WPI, USA in 1992, MSc in Real Time Software Engineering from the Centre for Advanced Software Engineering, UTM in 1992, and PhD in Software Engineering from University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK in 2003.

Currently, he is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) in University Malaysia Pahang. His current research focuses on Optimization, Search based Software Engineering/Testing, Process Modeling as well as Algorithm and Data Structures. He is listed in the top 2 percent scientists from Stanford University for two years in a row in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Prof. Dato' Dr. Tan Shau Hwai, Aileen

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Tan Shau Hwai, Aileen is a Professor in Marine Science, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She is a Fellow of Academy Science Malaysia. Currently, she is the Director of Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies (CEMACS) in USM, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) and Vice Chair of IOC Western Pacific (WESTPAC). She has been elected as the first woman president of the 60-years old UNITAS Malacologica, which is based in Belgium, from 2013-2016.

She plays active roles both at the national and international arena. She is the Board member of Partnership of the Observation of the Global Ocean (POGO) and steering committees of CoastPredict, Global OceanCorps and EquiSea. She is the current President of Malaysian Fisheries Society.

In 2020, she has been awarded the Top Research Scientist Award in Malaysia for her expertise in "Mariculture and Marine Ecology, Biodiversity & Conservation". She is the Best Women Scientist for her work in guiding the women-folks in Johore Islands in earning their own income through the giant clam conservation programme. She has initiated several Malaysia Book of Records for her contribution in molluscan studies.

Plenary Forum Title: “Innovation towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)"

Ts. Dr. Yu Yong Poh
Data Science Lab (Hong Leong Bank Berhad)

Yu Yong Poh received B.Eng. and PhD degrees from University of Malaya in 2008 and 2016. He joined Altera Corp Penang (currently known as Intel PSG) as an application engineer in 2008. He worked as an assistant lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in 2010. He then joined Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) as a senior lecturer and programme leader for postgraduate programmes. He served as the lead technical trainer at AirAsia Digital. He is currently the Head of Data Science Lab for Hong Leong Bank Berhad.


Dr. Yu is actively involved in project development for many years. His industry projects include healthcare dashboarding, digital marketing, sentiment analytics, Industry 4.0 and internet-of-things (IoT) applications etc. Specifically, he has been involved in data science and machine learning domain for more than 13 years. He has also been conducting many professional training workshops, which cover data science, machine learning, big data, text and image analytics, Python and R etc.


Dr. Yu's main research areas are unstructured data modelling (eg: image & text analytics), data science and analytics. During his PhD study, he developed mathematical models to estimate human heart rate from a sequence of video images. He also worked together with his colleagues to develop models for image and text analysis. When he worked as the post-doctoral research fellow, he mainly focused on bio-sensor signal processing and analytics, such as PPG signals. So far, he has published over 10 articles including ISI-ranked journal papers and international conference papers. He has also reviewed many ISI-ranked journal papers.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mashal Kasem Alqudah
Institute of Public Administration, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)

Mashal Alqudah is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering in the sector of Digital transformation & Information Programs Department at Institute of Public Administration, Riyadh. Mashal specialises in Agile Software Development and the in the use of Grounded Theory in Software Engineering. Mashal finished his PhD from the National University of Malaysia and his Master degree from the Northern University of Malaysia with Excellent CGPA. He serves on the Review Board of different international journals and conferences. Mashal has developed the theory of the selection of Agile methods and Agile methods practices that explains how agile team members could select and use the most appropriate methods and practices.

Dr. T. Sasilatha
AMET University, Chennai, India

Dr T. Sasilatha graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Government College of Engineering in the year 1995 and completed her Doctorate in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University Chennai. She was awarded CMI level 5 international Certificate in Leadership and Management.

She is presently working as a Dean of Academics and International Relations at AMET University, Chennai, India. As a chief investigator, she has received grants for many government-funded projects in the area of Solar Desalination, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Technologies and Underwater Structural Data Acquisition. She is a professional society member of IEEE, ISTE and The Institution of Engineers (IE) India. She is actively guiding research scholars in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks, VLSI Design and Renewable Energy.

Dr. Chiu Sein Tuck
University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Dr. Chiu is a committed environmental advocate who obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Chiu has a background in academia and a professional career in a non-governmental organization undertaking work related to environmental advocacy, nature conservation, environmental education and community engagement projects developing gardens for various social service organisations in Hong Kong.

Currently, he is involved in the conduct of field studies for the assessment of biodiversity of plants and wildlife in natural areas of the countryside, and, the development of community gardens in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chiu’s professional service record is considerable and includes past service on many statutory and ad-hoc advisory bodies and working groups of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR: Currently, he is a member of the Expert Group on Ecological Conservation (Civil Engineering and Development Department) and Appeal Board Panel (Town Planning)(Development Bureau)

Prof. Dr. Fabio Lazzarotti
Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina (UNOESC), Brazil

Dr. Lazzorotti served as the Pro-Rector of Research, Graduate Studies and Extension at Unoesc from February 2015 to April 2020. He integrated the National Directory and coordinated the Forum of Pro-Rectors of Research and Graduate Studies of Brazilian Community Institutions of Higher Education (ICES) from 2017-2018.


He was a member of the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of Unoesc from 2020-2021. And is currently a professor and researcher for the Professional Master's and PhD Program in Administration, and the Master's in Biosciences and Health Program at Unoesc. He is also a professor of undergraduate courses in Administration and Accounting, in the area of capital markets.


He chairs the Technological Center for Industrial Production and Innovation Foundation (Cetepi), which maintains the Vale do Rio do Peixe Innovation Center (INOVALE). He is a member of the National Association of Studies in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (Anegepe) and a member of the scientific committee of the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (REGEPE).

Prof. Dr. A.S. Ramnarayanan

Prof. Ram is carrying 34 years of rich experience from Industry (18 years) and (12 years) from academics along with 4 years in research. He started his carrier as a management trainee with SRF NIPPON DENSO Ltd. and scale up to Chief Manager (Corporate Affairs) in Triveni Group of Industries and in academics, joined as Reader of GGIPU Affiliated College worked in various capacity in the academic as Asst Professor, Associate Professor, Program Director, Dean (Student Welfare) and currently working in the academic field as a Professor of Finance and Head – International Relation Center with Gitarattan International Business school affiliated to GGSIPU.


He is a Fellow Member of Cost and Works Accountants of India (FCMA) and Accredited as Management teacher by AIMA (AMT) since 2009 as well. His area of Specialization is Quantitative banking Finance. He has conducted few MDP and FDP for corporate employees, Banking executives and teaching fraternity in India. Apart from the above he is working as an examiner of central university and few prestigious management Institutes of India and abroad. He has delivered various lectures for PGDM program and Executive program of IMT and FDDI. He has also having experience in organizing few national and International conferences as Mentor and coordinator. He is a prolific writer in various Indian newspapers, Magazines and Journals. He has also guided few M.Phil and PhD Scholars.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chong Wei Ying
Taylor's University, Malaysia

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chong Wei Ying is an Associate Professor in Taylor’s Business School at Taylor’s University. Begin her career in retail industry and later joined education industry. She has extensive administrative experience in strategic positioning, customer engagement, program development, operation, and resource allocation. Her research interest includes start up, entrepreneurship, family business, and individual financial behaviour. Much of her research work has been on improving the understanding and performance of entrepreneurs and individual financial behaviour, mainly through the application of motivational theories, statistics, and performance evaluation.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Wahyudi Sutopo
Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta, Indonesia

Wahyudi Sutopo is a professor in industrial engineering and Head of Industrial Engineering and Techno-Economics Research Group, Department of Industrial Engineering, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta, Indonesia. He is also a researcher for the center of excellence for electrical energy storage technology (CoE-EEST), the president of the industrial engineering and operations management (IEOM) society for Indonesia's professional chapter, and the Director of IEOM Asia Pacific Operation. His educational background is the profession of an engineer from UNS (2018); a Doctor and Bachelor in industrial engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (2011 & 1999); and a master of management science from Universitas Indonesia (2004). His research interests include supply chain engineering, engineering economy & cost analysis, and technology innovation & commercialization.

Mr. Muhammad Faraz Mubarak
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania

Muhammad Faraz Mubarak is a Ph.D. research fellow and Lecturer at School of Economics and Business, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania. Moreover, he is associated with Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia as a Research Associate, and as a Lecturer at Szabist university Karachi, Pakistan. In addition, he is serving as an Associate Researcher at GLORAD – Global center for R&D and Innovation Central Eastern European region (CEE) in the area of Innovation Management. Mr. Mubarak is also a Visiting Researcher and Trainee at University College London (UCL), United Kingdom, and Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark. He has attended summer schools organized by University of Bocconi, Italy and HEC Montreal, Canada on Innovation and Creativity. Furthermore, he has been working on European Union funded projects focusing the capability development of Lithuanian R&D intensive firms. Under the platform of KEEN – Knowledge Empowered Entrepreneurship Network Lithuania, he is acting as a trainer and mentor for Baltic Entrepreneurs. He is active as advisory board member and in the reviewing committee of various journals including Global Management Journal for Academic & Corporate Studies (GMJACS), Journal of Management Research (JMR), Jinnah Business and Economics Research Journal (JBER), Pakistan Business Review (PBR) and few others.
