Synopsis:

To satisfy the demands of a growing global population, sustainable development and growth are important principles of national development planning. Natural resources will be destroyed without sustainable development because living organisms and people are intertwined. Sustainable development ensures a healthy mother nature and sustainable natural resources for future generations to enjoy. Agriculture, energy utilization, environmental protection, waste management, and water quality are all sustainable issues that life sciences can solve.

In conjunction with the Sustainable Development Goals, we provide a platform for academicians and researchers to exchange information and findings from sustainable research. This conference welcomes participation and exchange of sustainable research ideas in the field of life science. We believe that this conference will raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in preserving a greener, more sustainable environment.

Synopsis:

From Neil Armstrong’s walk on the Moon to 5G cellular phones with multiple functions, engineering, and scientific advances have captured people’s imaginations and demonstrated the wonders of engineering science. Without the creativity, ingenuity, and courage of innovators, innovation and invention in engineering would not be a success. The astounding technological achievements in the twentieth century would not have been possible without engineering. Many complex engineering achievements have become part of everyday life that engineering innovation and invention are often taken for granted. Without it, the world would be less accessible, poorer, far less interesting, and new industries and old industries transformation will not be happening. An endless number of innovations such as from plastics to carbon fibers and then to various applications, electricity generation, and distribution, renewable energy, clean water, CO2 sequestration technique, advanced concrete materials, and even the cold box for COVID-19 vaccine are ground-breaking innovation that drives force behind the success in every engineering innovation and invention – it has transformed the economy, the military, and society, making the world more prosperous, healthier, and safer in the process. In this Research Track in ICIT 2022, we welcome engineers, innovators, and researchers with eminent research and innovation, regardless of any field of engineering, to share and publish your innovation with ICIT 2022, and make your technological innovations possible.

Synopsis:

Innovation in education is a proven path to inclusion and a bridge to opportunity. Educating and empowering young people everywhere to become effective and productive members of society is essential for sustainable growth and development. We want to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the educational dimensions which affected schools’ regular functioning, with the temporary closure of educational institutions and the disruption of face-to-face classes. Research that focuses on sustainable education during the COVID-19 pandemic is essential to turn these challenging conditions into opportunities to reshape the education scenario. The content of education must be relevant, with a focus on both cognitive and non-cognitive aspects of learning. The knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes required by citizens to lead productive lives, make informed decisions and assume active roles locally and globally in facing and resolving global challenges can be acquired through education for sustainable development which must include peace and human rights education, as well as intercultural education and education for international understanding. The research outputs are expected to help educators identify the opportunities and advance the implementation of sustainable education systems post COVID-19 era.

Synopsis:

After more than two years of living with the COVID-19 pandemic, much experience has been accrued by countries around the world. The pandemic has affected businesses of every nature, and the education sector is no exception. When schools and institutions of higher education were obligatory to close, the conventional learning model to which we are all accustomed was interrupted and shifted to Online Distance Learning.

Online learning and education in some form have played a significant role and it has led to additional expenses for securing bandwidth, computers, laptops, and other technical requirements that supported online learning. These issues will escalate into a cycle of loss of learning, loss of skills, loss of productivity, and decreased economic activity, which affects the country’s progress both in the short and longer-term.

These closures affected online learning, mobility programs, and finding forms of assessments that would work for higher education. This conference track invites suitable papers and presenters that fervently address lifelong learning, teaching, learning, managing online education and policy planning related to the transition phase to endemic. It sheds insights into some of the salient issues, sentiments, and challenges of virtual learning and digitalization. It provides insights into its social and economic consequences for education and discussions into the delicate balance of lifelong learning, reconciling public health and safety while maintaining equitable educational provision for the country.

Synopsis:

As the COVID-19 pandemic quickly spread across the world, mental health turned into a significant topic of public discussion in 2021. It has initiated an impressive level of dread, stress, and worry in the global population and among certain vulnerable groups, such as older people, care providers, and individuals with fundamental diseases. As we enter the phase of endemic in Malaysia, we can anticipate that mental health should keep on being the first concern in 2022, especially as Malaysia deals with a developing psychological well-being crisis. Mental health issues can emerge from despondency and misfortune, unsettled agony or exhaustion, or post-traumatic disorder after a long treatment in the Intensive Care Unit. Although doctors and therapists could address explicit side effects, however, it would require a multidisciplinary group to help the recuperation of individuals with long COVID. As the recuperation time frame for mental health takes longer than physical health, mental health services are expected to be greatly reinforced for 2022.

In this challenging time, the dependence on facts and statistics becomes more vital than any other time in monitoring health circumstances and their impacts on the population. Hence, this conference track will consider the crucial role of data and findings in exploring mental health issues. To ensure a comprehensive perspective, the speakers are comprised of experts in government relations, private sectors, and the scholarly community in national and international settings. In particular, speakers will share data and findings concerning experiences with the response of mental health services to the COVID-19 pandemic; to present their discoveries from the research works on the impacts of COVID-19 on mental health; and propose solutions for reinforcing mental health and well-being, including mental health resilience, and further developing general health coverage for access to quality mental health services.
